Job Description

Incorporated in December 2013 in Hong Kong, the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS) is a uniquely Asian Centre for excellence which promotes best practices and standards through its own research, capacity building and conferences and through partnership with its intermediary network. 

To assist with a major philanthropic policy project we are undertaking, we are looking for a project assistant. This position is full time for a 6 month period, for the life-cycle of the project.

The Project Assistant will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Support the logistics and coordination of a multi-country policy study under the direction of the chief executive and project director;
  • Manage partner logistics for various workshops, video conferences, and phone calls;
  • Compile event materials and preparatory documentation for research partners and CAPS senior staff;
  • Be primary organizational interface with project partners.

Requisite Skills

  • Documented project management experience;
  • Event planning experience;
  • Great interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively across countries and nationalities;
  • Willingness to “roll up one’s sleeves” and do all activities associated with a small, start-up organization;
  • Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of team;
  • Bachelors degree;
  • High English competence;
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft office.
